Solitude

Tonight, the sky decided to remain silent

the moon tried to avoid meeting me in the eye

the stars? I can feel them

yet they all seemed more distant than before.

Solitude is what I have asked for

(but just for tonight)

and they probably all agreed I deserved it

hence, at this hour, they are all out of reach

I am alone with my thoughts

but the noise inside just keeps growing louder.
